A Wonderful Country Wedding

This weekend we witnessed the wonderful celebration of Candy and Richard’s wedding in Selborne, Hampshire.

The couple hosted their wedding at the brides family home on a beautiful farm that she had grown up in nestled in the idyllic Hampshire hangers.

The AM team had put the marquee up mid week but as the weekend approached they quickly realised that they would need to re think the flooring due the heavy rain. Alresford Marquees pride themselves on flexibility and if there is  a sudden change in weather we are always at hand to provide a service that will counteract any issues during the course of the event, such as heaters or in this case wooden flooring. We also laid down matting walkways from the car park to the marquee which helped too with the rain.

Candy and Richard had chosen a clear span marquee with french windows and orangerie walls, ensuring what little sun we were experiencing would stream through the windows. They kicked off the reception with champagne and then the guests were seated amongst the impressive and stunning flower arrangements consisting of huge avalanche roses, fragrant white lilly’s and sweet peas and white delphiniums while a starter of home made celeriac and prawn salad was served followed by roast beef and summer vegetables and then for the finale, and those who had any room left, home made meringues with summer fruits and cream.

Outside the marquee you may have thought you were mistaken for spotting a potting shed but in actual fact you would have been right however this was a loo cunningly disguised as one. This was sourced from Loos R us

The music was a very important aspect to the couple and so was the dancing so the dance floor was well occupied and cocktails were served throughout the night. It was a wonderful wedding and we were so happy to be part of it.
