Our aim has always been to provide a personal and professional service and that is why we have clients who have been coming back to us for over 20 years.
Although we have always focused our business on Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire we have also done Marquees as far South as the French Alps and as far North as Knoydart in Scotland which is a peninsular on the West coast which has no road in and out. The challenge was set for Alresford marquee hire Hampshire to erect a marquee for a Scottish ceilidh for 1000 people to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the people of Knoydart buying back the land.
So the marquees were loaded up from our yard near Winchester Hampshire and we set off on the 11 hour drive north to the small port of mallaig. From mallaig all our trailers vans land rovers and generators were then loaded by crane on to landing crafts ready to cross the sea to the slipway on Knoydart.
Once the landing craft reached the slipway the vehicles were towed up the slipway and made the short trip down the beach to the site for the marquee.
After the long drive and the sea crossing we were all exhausted so we retired to the pub which is the most remote pub in the British isles for a couple of pints and a plate of locally caught scallops.
Morning arrived and the sun revealed the most gorgeous day in one of the most amazing settings. After a hearty breakfast the team set to the task of building the marquee. By mid afternoon the marquee was finished leaving the local carpenters to build the wooden floor. All the wood for the floor had been loaned for the event from a local property owner who was just about to re roof his house with the timber.
Friday morning arrived and people started arriving in all shapes and sizes of boat ready for the 2 days of traditional Scottish dancing and partying.
